Brazil: Consumer Prices in Sao Paulo Little Changed.

Consumer prices in Sao Paulo were broadly unchanged month-on-month in August 2026, following a similar reading in July. Housing costs fell 0.3%, compared with a 0.57% increase in July, while food prices declined 0.18%, following a 0.69% drop in the previous month. Transportation costs fell 0.43%, after a 0.13% decline in July, while education prices were little changed, edging down 0.06% compared with a 0.3% increase in July. Meanwhile, personal expenses rebounded, rising 1.34% after falling 0.07% in July. Health costs increased 0.24%, accelerating from a 0.1% rise in the previous month, while clothing prices rose 0.32%, following a 0.58% increase in July.
