7 September 2026, 12:25  Greece: Economy Grows 0.3% in Q2.

Greece’s economy expanded 0.3% quarter-on-quarter in the second quarter of 2026 from 0.2% in the previous period, which marked the weakest growth rate since a 0.3% contraction in Q3 2023. The expansion was driven by a rebound in household consumption (0.9% vs -0.3% in Q1) and fixed investment (2.2% vs -2.5%). Meanwhile, government spending declined (-2.1% vs 4.2%), while net external demand contributed negatively to GDP, as exports increased (0.5% vs 0.4%) less than imports (0.6% vs 0.8%). On an annual basis, GDP increased 1.9%, following a 2.0% expansion in the preceding quarter.
