Austria posted a current account surplus of €0.25 billion in Q2 2026, the smallest since Q3 2024, down from €0.89 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year. The primary income surplus narrowed to €0.19 billion from €0.66 billion in Q2 2025, while the secondary income deficit rose to €1.11 billion from €0.90 billion. Meanwhile, the goods surplus was little changed at €1.5 billion, while the services shortfall shrank slightly to €0.37 billion from €0.40 billion.
