30 September 2026, 12:14  Greece: Producer Inflation Highest Since 2023.

Producer prices in Greece rose 14.9% year-on-year in August 2026, accelerating from 11.8% in the previous month and reaching its highest level since December 2022. Costs rose for intermediate goods (7.9% vs 7.0% in July), durable consumer goods (2.0% vs 1.3%), and energy (28.5% vs 21.5%). Conversely, price growth eased for capital goods (4.0% vs 4.5%) and non-durable consumer goods (1.4% vs 1.7%). By market, producer prices for the domestic market rose 8.9%, up from 7.0% in July, while those for the non-domestic market climbed 29.7% from 23.4%. On a monthly basis, producer prices fell 0.6%, reversing a 0.2% increase in the previous month.
