30 September 2026, 12:00  Spain: Current Account Surplus Narrows in July.

Spain’s current account surplus narrowed to €5.91 billion in July 2026, from €6.44 billion a year earlier, mainly as the primary and secondary income deficit widened to €3.31 billion from €1.84 billion. Meanwhile, the goods and services surplus increased to €9.22 billion from €8.28 billion, supported by stronger tourism revenues, which rose to €14.08 billion from €12.90 billion. In January-July, the current account surplus declined to €24.57 billion, down from €32.93 billion in the same period of 2025.
