30 September 2026, 10:41  Poland: Inflation Rate Hits Over 1-Year High.

The annual inflation rate in Poland accelerated to 4.0% year-on-year in September 2026 from 3.4% in the previous month, marking the highest reading since June 2025, according to preliminary estimates. The increase was driven by faster price growth for fuels and lubricants for private means of transport, which surged 36.1%, while prices for electricity, gas, and other fuels rose 4.9%. Meanwhile, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages declined 0.5%, partly offsetting the increases in other categories. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.7% in September, accelerating from a 0.3% increase in August.
