29 September 2026, 12:17  Cyprus: Industrial Production Rises Slightly in July.

Cyprus’ industrial production increased 1.5% year-on-year in July 2026, from an upwardly revised 1.4% increase in June. The overall growth was supported by stronger activity in water supply and materials recovery (8.2% vs. 2.8% in June). Meanwhile, growth in mining and quarrying eased (6.0% vs. 11.4%), while manufacturing slowed (1.5% vs. 2.0%), mainly due to weaker growth in wood products (5.1% vs. 7.3%), rubber and plastic products (2.0% vs. 4.9%), and basic metals and fabricated metal products (3.7% vs. 4.9%). Electricity supply remained in contraction, although the decline narrowed (-1.1% vs. -4.0%). For the January-July period, industrial output grew 1.6% compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
