25 September 2026, 15:12  Armenia: Economic Activity Growth Slows Further in August.

Armenia’s economic activity eased to 6.5% year-on-year in August 2026 from a downwardly revised 7.5% increase in the previous month and marking the lowest reading since March 2025. The slowdown was driven by a contraction in industrial output, which fell 4.3% year-on-year, compared with a 3.1% increase in July. Meanwhile, growth in construction output slowed to 23.8% from 26.5%, while trade turnover rose 0.1% after declining 0.1% in July. Services growth also eased to 11.4% from 17.0%. On a monthly basis, economic activity increased 4.5% in August, following a 4.6% rise in July. For the January–August period, overall economic activity was 7.3% higher than in the corresponding period a year earlier.
