25 September 2026, 10:43  Spain: GDP Growth Rate Confirmed at 0.7% in Q2.

The Spanish economy expanded 0.7% on quarter in the three months to June 2026, slightly higher than 0.6% in the previous period and in line with the preliminary estimate. Domestic demand contributed 1.1 percentage points to growth, while external demand made a negative contribution of 0.5 percentage points. Household expenditure increased by 1.2%, while general government final consumption went up by 0.5%. Gross fixed capital formation increased by 1.7%. Exports of goods and services grew by 1.0% quarter on quarter, one-tenth of a percentage point higher than in the first quarter. Meanwhile, imports increased by 2.6%, 2.5 percentage points above the rate recorded in the previous quarter.
