The business confidence indicator in the Czech Republic fell to 98.4 in September 2026 from 100.2 in each of the previous two months. This marked the lowest reading since December 2025. Confidence weakened most notably in selected services, where the indicator decreased by 2.3 points to 99.9, marking the first decline since October 2024. Additionally, sentiment continued to deteriorate in industry, with the indicator declining by 2.0 points to a four-month low of 96.1, alongside sentiment in construction, where the indicator fell by 0.6 points to 112.0. Meanwhile, confidence improved in the trade sector, with the indicator rising by 1.7 points to a five-month high of 93.9.
