The general business climate indicator for manufacturing in Poland fell to -5.8 in September 2026 from -5.1 in the previous month, marking its lowest reading in three months. The latest figure also remained below its long-term average of +0.4. Among sectors, sentiment deteriorated further in construction (-2.0 vs -0.1 in August) and turned negative in retail trade (-0.2 vs 0.9). Meanwhile, confidence weakened in wholesale and trade (0.1 vs 2.6) and accommodation and food services (3.3 vs 7.0). Conversely, sentiment strengthened in transportation and storage (1.6 vs 1.1), information and communication (11.4 vs 9.9), and financial and insurance activities (30.3 vs 28).
