Industrial output in Greece declined by 1.2% from the previous year in July 2026, reversing from an upwardly revised 1.2% increase in June. The downturn was driven by sharp contractions in electricity supply (-12.4% vs -3.9%), and water supply (-4.0% vs -2.6%) declined. Mining and quarrying also remained in contraction, declining 3.5% (vs. -4.3%). Manufacturing, however, remained in positive territory, although growth eased (1.9% vs 2.6%). Notable growth was recorded in computers, electronic and optical products (13.6%), machinery and equipment (7.3%), printing and reproduction of recorded products (6.4%), and motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (5.1%), while wood and wood products (-7.0%) and leather and related products (-6.2%) saw the sharpest declines. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity eased to 2.7% from 4.9% in the previous month.
