Energy firms in the United States injected 75 billion cubic feed of natural gas into storage during the week that ended September 19th, aligned with market expectations, and above the 47 bcf build from the comparable week in the previous year. The build lifted natural gas storage to 3,508 bcf, 0.6% above the amount from one year ago and 6.1% above the current five-year average. The data was in line with recent developments pointing to ample gas production by US energy companies, offsetting the higher capacity from LNG export facilities.
