Mortgage equity withdrawal in the UK dipped in the second quarter to 11.3 bln stg from an upwardly revised 12.9 bln stg in the first three months of the year, data from the Bank of England showed today. The second quarter figure is the lowest since the third quarter of 2005. Mortgage equity withdrawal measures secured borrowing not invested in the housing market. The second quarter figure equals 5.2 pct of disposable income, down from 5.9 pct in the previous three months.
