The UK manufacturing sector has seen conditions worsen over the last quarter as the difficulties seen on the high start begin spread, a survey from the UK's largest business lobby showed. In its monthly survey of the manufacturing sector, the Confederation of British Industry said orders and output fell faster than expected over the past three months. It found that the total order book balance was at -25 pct in October from -27 pct in Sept Meanwhile, the export orders balance slipped to -28 in Oct from -25 in Sept. "Today's results show that manufacturers had a disappointing quarter in what has been a very difficult year" John Cridland, CBI deputy director general said. "Domestic orders have continued to decline, reflecting the tough conditions prevailing on the high street" he added.
