French Finance Minister Thierry Breton Tuesday welcomed the recent weakening of the euro against other currencies, such as the dollar. Speaking at an investor conference in the French capital, Breton said the French economy had suffered in the first half of the year as the euro appreciated against other currencies and crude oil prices surged. "But in recent times the euro has fallen to acceptable levels," the minister said.
