LONDON (AFX) - UK third-quarter GDP is expected to have grown 0.6 pct from the previous quarter, according to the National Institute of Economic and Social Research This is close to the economy's trend rate of growth, NIESR said in its monthly economic forecast. "These data take account of the weak industrial production figures for September and are based on a projection of a further decline of industrial production into October," NIESR said. But the figures themselves do not make a case for a further interest rate cut this week although a reduction might be justified on precautionary grounds, it said.
