TOKYO - Financial Services Minister Hakuo Yanagisawa said Friday he opposes proposals made by some ruling party politicians and business leaders to extend the current system of providing unlimited guarantees for bank deposits. "It is important to implement it," Yanagisawa told reporters, referring to the planned introduction in April of a ceiling on bank deposit protection.
