30 August 2001, 12:08 LDP's Kyuma - Ruling parties taking for granted compilation of extra budget
TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - The ruling Liberal Democratic Party's acting
policy chief Fumio Kyuma said the three government coalition parties
are assuming that a supplementary budget will be compiled for the next
fiscal year.
The parties are "taking for granted" that a budget will be
launched, he said, adding that key members also agreed that the
government should not be held to the planned 30 trln yen ceiling on new
bond issues for the year.
In addition, the three parties will set out a new package to deal
with increased joblessness on September 5.
