20 April 2001, 11:31 Japan stocks ends morning down 0.9% on profit-taking
Tokyo, April 20 (BridgeNews) - Japanese shares ended the morning
session lower as profit-taking kicked in erasing earlier gains despite a
strong performance on Wall Street overnight. Concerns over the yen's
recent advance and TDK Corp.'s poor earnings also halted the upward
momentum, traders said.
The Nikkei fell 0.9%, or 122.13 points to 13,746.15.
